You have to believe that there's someone out there who sees how valuable you are without ever trying to prove it to them.
But I tell you, hope isn't always present and that's OK. It's so disappointing when you invest so much time, energy, love, and care into someone only to have them not change their heart about the things they want.
I get that life comes with disappointments it's how it is meant to be but I struggle when that's all I have known and I do build up a thick skin of resilience, which means the pain is so much less than a person who sees disappointment less but the question is always asked, will there ever be a time where someone's heart can't see a life without mine in theirs?
There are always red flags - warnings in the beginning but what would I be without the experience of those choices? Proceeding seems like it's the only option. Imagine what life would be like if I hadn't moved forward with things with that certain person, or that situation, that job, or that opportunity.
We never really evolve or grow, would we?
The whole saying goes "Some things are worth hurting over, you just have to choose which ones!". Never have I ever heard truer words than those right there. It's not about what mistake you think you might make or do make it's about the experiences you get from the situation or choice you make.
Not everything works out, I guess the question I am asking is when will it?
